From city of Munich to the central station of Freising: Freising is loacted at the railway connecting Munich and Regensburg. Regular trains or the S-Bahn (S1) leave from the central train station of Munich to Freising on a regular basis (check time table: http://www.db.de; http://www.mvv-muenchen.de/. The train ride takes about 20 to 40 minutes (one direction). Get off at the central station in Freising.

From the airport of Munich (Franz Josef Strauss) to the central station of Freising: The air port is located only 15 minutes car drive from Freising. Bus service (number 635) from the airport to the railway/bus station in Freising is also available with departures of every 20 minutes starting from 03.30 am to 00.50 am. You can take the bus either at the bus station in front of Terminal 2 or in front of the centre area of Terminal 1. Alternatively, you can take a taxi directly from the air port to our institute - a special price approximately 20 € for a taxi is offered by TAXI GITTI (phone: +49-(0)-8161-149000). Bus tickets are available on the bus for a few €.

From the central station of Freising to our institute: Take the buss number 638 or 639, to the bus stop Weihenstephan (about a 10 min ride). The bus leaves on a regular basis on work days from the central station of Freising. Walking distance from the bus stop to our institute is only about 5 minutes, however it is somewhat tricky to find our institute. Starting from the bus stop, walk straight ahead a couple of hundred meters, keeping the library of TUM (a large, round glass building with a bear inside a metal globe) on your left side till you arrive at the MENSA building (students food and cafeteria building). Now turn to the left (with the library building still on your left side), and walk straight ahead a couple of hundred meters. You will find our institute on your right side (a glass building, see images above). We are located in the basement and the first floor.
